In some conditions, typically when the same command is used for multiple
services, e.g. the modules-load plugin, the svc_find() function returned
an existing "similar" entry instead of NULL, causing loss of config.
When creating, and searching for, a run/task/service we must follow the
new name:id paradigm to the letter. Always create based on name:id and
always search for matching name:id. The name may be derived from the
command, but they cannot be used interchangably.

Finit can now track and set environment variables from finit.conf. The
syntax is pretty much what you'd expect:
foo=bar
baz="qux"
On reload of .conf files, all tracked environment variables are cleared
so if `foo=bar` is removed from finit.conf, or any finit.d/*.conf file,
it will no longer be used by Finit or any new (!) started run/tasks or
services.
The only variables reset to sane defaults on .conf reload are:
PATH=_PATH_STDPATH
SHELL=_PATH_BSHELL
LOGNAME=root
USER=root
It is entirely possible to override these as well from the .conf files,
but be careful. Changing SHELL changes the behavior of system() and a
lot of other commands as well.

When iterating over the system fstab file to call fsck, Finit calls the
helper function ismnt(), which opens /proc/mounts to make sure mounted
file systems are not fsck'ed. Both the main function and ismnt() used
the same non-reentrant getmntent() API which caused ismnt() to set the
fstab pointer for the first out of whack.
This change replaces getmntent() in the two critical functions with the
getmntent_r() API instead.

Some systems have /dev/root declared in their /etc/fastb as /. This is
as special device node created by the kernel based on the root=, and a
few other variables. This may be a symlink, and if so, and on a mdev
system, the symlink may point to the wrong device node ... so we must
try to figure out the major:minor from / and then traverse /sys/block
to find our root device.
Note: this commit also does a bit of refactoring for readability and
also adds a few debug lines that may be dropped before release.

A subtle regression was introduced in 5593372f, when moving to get
getmntent() family of APIs. Finding the 'ro' flag (or not) in the
system fstab broke and Finit never tried to remount / read-write.

The swapon and swapoff commands do not support a custom fstab, they
assume /etc/fstab is the only true source of swap devices and files.
This change adds rudimentary (!) support for figuring out any swap
device or file to use from any finit.fstab. Please note, options are
not supported at the moment.

This adds support for bringing up the system with an alternate fstab at
boot. E.g., when using a primary/secondary setup for boot partitions.
By default /etc/fstab is read, like before, this can now be changed
using configure --with-fstab=/path/to/fstab.primary, which sets the
default that can be overridden using finit.fstab=/etc/fstab.secondary
If mounting, or fsck, fails in any way, Finit calls its own bundled
sulogin, or the system sulogin(8), to let the user handle the issue.
If there is no sulogin available, Finit will try to start up in its
rescue.conf boot mode.
Please note, in either of these rescue modes, use `reboot -f` to get the
system to reboot. Finit is on pause in the background in rescue mode
and cannot be relied on (since there may not be any writable filesystems
available.).

The setfsent() family of APIs was never standardized and on Linux only
GLIBC implement them. We've tried to overcome this limitation, and to
support uClibc/uClibc-ng and musl libc, by providing replacements APIs
in helpers.c.
However, and since we want to support alternative /etc/fstab files, the
setmntent() family of APIs is more widespread and supports reading from
any fstab or mtab file.

Calling `initctl debug` is supposed to toggle Finit debug messages on
the boot console. This broke in ae09272b when improving support for
running Finit in containers.
Part of this change is a slight refactor of who calles log_init() when
starting up, and when to call ttinit(). We now call ttinit() every time
we toggle debug.
Also, toggling back to normal logging had a bug. The new default log
level for Finit is LOG_INFO, but toggling back set it to LOG_NOTICE.

This patch adds support for optional logging of output from all run()
commands. For run_interactive() we've opted to log instead of just
redirect, meaning output on error is till on console but also in log.

Traditionally we've reset the service restart counter on two occasions:
1) when a service reaches its max crash count (default 10), and
2) when a service somehow "stabilizes"
In the second case the service is restored to normal running state and
we "forget" its bad previous behavior. Meaning we cannot catch daemons
that act in an unstable manner outside the "rage quit" scenario.
This patch allows for slowing aging (decrementing) the restart counter
once every five minutes. Meaning we still catch rage quitters but now
are also able catch other types of misbehavior.

Since Finit v4.0 kernel console output has been silenced just prior to
the banner being printed, unless finit.debug mode was enabled. This
patch makes sure to check the kernel loglevel, if it's >= 7, finit no
longer disables kernel console ouput.
Consequently, you now need 'quiet' on your kernel command line, or a
loglevel < 7 for a quiet boot, at least until a syslogd takes over.
This means that you now can debug the kernel and finit independently,
which should be a great comfort to anyone doing bringup or any form of
kernel debugging.

Due to an unfortunate name clash with the DirectFB project LiTE, the
libite (-lite) project had to change its header namespace from
lite/*.h -> libite/*.h
This patch adds support for the new namepace in Finit, triggered by the
define _LIBITE_LITE, from the .pc file read by pkg-config. This should
only be needed on systems that install libite without the compatibility
symlink lite -> libite/ in the staging include directory.

fastboot: once enabled, fsck would be skipped on filesystems listed in
/etc/fstab.
fsckfix: once enabled, 'fsck -ys' would be run instead of 'fsck -a',
and check the return value larger than 1 as a failure and goes
to login console.
They are both disabled by default, no functional changes unless an end
user choose to enable them.
The idea derives from Sysvinit's "FASTBOOT" and "FSCKFIX".

This patch adds "the missing" first runlevel log entry when Finit has
printed the console banner and begins its bootstrap phase.
At this point we know syslogd hasn't been started yet, so we rely on
logit() to redirect this to /dev/kmsg in the meantime. Later syslogd
will pick this up, see that it's not from the kernel, and log it to
the proper log file.

If any of these mount() calls fail, not counting EBUSY because that
would mean sth is already mounted, there really isn't much we can do.
So the least we should do is warn on console if it happens.

This patch removes the cognitive overhead of having to manually set your
OS heading, --with-heading="Foo OS vX.YY". As of this patch, Finit by
default extracts PRETTY_NAME from /etc/os-release. It is now possible
to also disable the heading entirely using --without-heading

This patch is a refactor of the prototype sys condition plugin. It
moves most of the logic to monitor kernel events into a keventd that,
currently only, sets and clears the sys/pwr/ac condition. The sys
plugin itself is now only a monitor of conditions and ensures Finit
follows them. This is a lot more secure and moves (at least one piece
of) netlink processing out from PID 1.

This patch does several things related to /run and system reliability.
- Mount /run with MAX 10% of usable RAM
- Create and mount /run/lock as a separate tmpfs with max 5 MiB
As a spin-off, this patch also fixes permisions on /run/lock to 0777
so regular users can create lock files.
Note: none of this code runs if /run is mounted alread in /etc/fstab

This patch restores parts of 4febd28, but in a more orderly fashion, in
order to get a standard Debian system to boot properly with X and tools.
The patch adds fs_finalize() which checks if /dev/sh/, /dev/pts, /run,
and /tmp have been mounted properly from /etc/fstab. If not, then the
function makes sure to mount tmfps (or devpts) file systems as expected
by most modern systems.

Most major init systems have a way to start a rescue shell. This is
usally started when the string `rescue` is read from the kernel's
command line.
The traditional Finit way of handling this has been to skip certain
phases of the standard boot, skip /etc/finit.conf et al, and go for a
/lib/finit/rescue.conf instead. This pratice has been imroved over
the last few commits with a sulogin. However, there was no way to
resume boot, like most other init systems offer.
This patch implements a very simple rescue mode, utilizing the new
sulogin, replacing the old (and experimental) emergency shell. If
Ctrl-D is pressed at the maintenance login prompt the boot is now
resumed. The same goes for exit/Ctrl-D from the maintenace shell.
The preferred sulogin is the bundled /libexec/finit/sulogin, but
if that isn't installed, the first one in $PATH is used. If no
sulogin at all is found, Finit proceeds as before this patch, to
skip certains steps and go for a /lib/finit/rescue.conf. Hence,
al steps can be controlled by an administrator.

This patch restores the start of the built-in/bundled watchdogd. It is
tracked in the `wdog` variable and handled as an exception at shutdown.
This is also a follow-up to 7b74c99, ensuring that we only kill/stop the
built-in watchdog, not any external. External ones can register to be
the controlling watchdogd in the system -- Finit is not the arbiter for
singletons, this is up to the system engineer.

Initial refactor of the tty implementation to use the service/run/task
general backend. This enables all the features of services also for
ttys, except logging because it makes no sense.
Work in progress:
- plugins/tty.c does not work anymore, could possibly be removed in
favor of usinga (a new) condition instead (if-tty-exists)
- fallback tty does not work anymore, should we remove it, or can we
handle it as an optional built-in with (a new) condition?
- @console does not work anymore, needs to generate N cloned services
