Fixed VIA dependency on bit-banging algorithm

For better results, we should restructure the Config dialog, but this will

Extra safety measures for mkpatch
...
It now dies with an error message if it fails to generate the correct diffs,
instead of continuing silently.

mkpatch change: It is now possible to call mkpatch for the I2C
...
package, even after the kernel was also patched for lm_sensors.
This means generating diffs now works always.

I forgot to propagate a change in the i2c version.
* __init* handling in mkpatch and compat.h
