The recently updated pidfile plugin now also watches the subdirectories
in /var/run, but for that to work it must witness the creation of these
subdirectories. The bootmisc plugin creates several, e.g., /run/quagga/
in which PID files like zebra.pid are created.

Some systems use /var/db while others use /var/lib/misc, we need to
support both and cannot rely on _PATH_VARDB, since it too might not
be set properly.

We can safely skip tmpfs, nothing to clean from previous boot there.
In fact, if we clean it we may spoil things for udev, which saves
pre-boot files in /run/udev.

This patch moves both the definition and the call to bootclean() from
finit.c to the bootmisc plugin. We want to call bootclean() *after*
any /run and /var file systems have been mounted.

This patch fixes the ordering of UTMP events. The first event that is
expected in /var/run/utmp is reboot, next is the runlevel change to
the configured runlevel, e.g. from S --> 2.
Let the bootmisc plugin handle this, it knows when /var/run/utmp has
been created and is writable. It is not the eact boot time, but close
enough for most usees.

Modern systems today use a RAM disk for /run and /run/lock, with
symlinks to the FHS locations in /var/run and /var/lock. See the
following link for details http://lwn.net/Articles/436012/

Libraries and system headers should be included with <> instead of "".
This makes a great difference for the automatic dependency tracking.

This patch corrects a long standing issue with Finit. System initial
bootstrap runlevel must be set to 'S' (0), not the configured fallback
runlevel 'RUNLEVEL', which likely is '2'.
Also, minor cleanup, reduce code duplication.

When building a static Finit the plugins do not get a unique name
automatically from the file. This led to only the first plugin being
loaded, since its name was 'unknown' it was registered as such and all
other plugins conflicted, since 'unknown' was already ... known and
loaded.
This patch gives all plugins a default name, __FILE__, making it
possible to use all of them when building a static Finit.

For embedded systems with no initial random seed, usually stored in
/var/lib/urandom/urandom-seed on desktops, servers and laptops, we now
provide an initial seed file using a built-in PRNG.
Also, let the configure script default to *enable* the random seeding
at boot, granted the urandom plugin is enabled. We should encourage
users to properly seed their random, for security reasons.
Moreover, the plugin did not properly regenerate the random seed on
reboot, or shutdown, this patch also rectifies that problem.

- Upgrade libite (LITE) for new UNIX file parser API to improve static
builds of Finit.
- Re-enable bootmisc plugin for static builds by adding built-in support
for reading GID from /etc/group.
- Allow inetd support for static builds by adding built-in support for
reading service and protocol from /etc/services and /etc/protocols.
- Do not try to install/uninstall any plugins for static builds.

This patch adds support for a configure script and with it
support for disabling inetd support. See the output from
./configure --help
* Add configure script
* Sprinkle #ifdef fairy dust on svc.c when inetd support is disabled
* Use GCC built-in autodep calculator (-MMD -MP)
* Fix name space issue with include files, use relative paths
* Disable username/group name to uid/gid functions in static builds
* Bug out (error) if a user tries to build the bootmisc plugin static
Possibly fixes GitHub issue #5 and issue #6.
NOTE: The static build has not received any testing at all!

This has been something I wanted to avoid, but then I stumbled so hard
on it myself I simply had to add it. With this commit finit actually
comes of age -- it's now possible to do anything a modern init can --
only faster! :-)
Included in this commit is the OpenBSD version of sys/queue.h, which
unline all versions of the same file on Linux has the _FOREACH_SAFE
macros for iterating over a linked list.
The plugins are now in a TAILQ, loaded in alphabetic order and, unless
the dependency resolver says otherwise, added last in the queue. So,
naming your plugins according to standard sysvinit rules: S01, S02,
etc. takes care of the most basic dependency resolution. When that is
not sufficient, simply add a line ".depends = { "other_plugin",
"another_plugin" }," to your plugin_t definition. Be careful though
for circular dependencies, we don't check for those.

This was missing from the 1.4 release due to it being hidden in one
of my private plugins. Sorry!
Also, add another log macro. Warnings are quite useful things to have.

Lots of cleanup and simplification of the main code in this commit.
Most notably libev has been added to take care of the main loop and
monitor services. Still TODO is migrating to use the libev signal
handling.
Convert initctl.c:listen_initctl() to a plugin instead. This also
meant introducing a new form of I/O plugin to finit, also handled
by libev.
Load plugins *after* we've setup the base filesystem (BASEFS) in case
plugins reside on a filesystem not reachable before "mount -a" has run.
This also has the side effect of lining up nicely with the first level
plugin hooks.
If a plugin wants to hook up with a loded service we connect them by
their respective numeric IDs in plugin_register(). I.e., the service
monitor checks if a service has a registered callback, which in turn
decides if a service should be started, stopped or reloaded.
Rip out old EeePC distribution defines from finit.h, none of it really
applies anymore. If you need distribution specific settings this is
the place to put them.
Make hookpoint names (#defines) clearer: after BASEFS, after networking,
after all setup, etc.
Use #inlude_next <signal.h> in signal.h to include system header file!
Simplify service monitor: move essential code to svc.c and rip out
the TIPC dependency. Write your own service.so plugin, or wait for
a more complete example of how to extend service monitoring using
the primitives in svc.c
