Mark M. Hoffman c0d34c332e Backport of patch vs 2.6.1... 
This patch fixes a "Trying to release non-existent resource" error that
occurs during rmmod when the device isn't actually present.  It includes
some other cleanups too: error paths, whitespace, magic numbers, __devinit.

Mark M. Hoffman 144d461b27 Undo earlier temp. magnitude workarounds for w83781d vs. kernel 2.6. 
The workarounds were obviated by Khali's patch which was merged
	into Linus' tree at 2.6.1-bk6.  Tested here on w83781d - would
	appreciate testing on the other w83's...
