Jean Delvare add5b75f35 Recent versions of module-init-tools only want *.conf files under 
/etc/modprobe.d. So rename our configuration file to lm_sensors.conf
there. Also let "make install" rename the file if it already exists.

Jean Delvare 74bf4482f4 Patch from Roel Kluin, backported from Linux 2.6. 
With a postfix decrement these timeouts reach -1 rather than 0, but
after the loop it is tested whether they have become 0.

As pointed out by Jean Delvare, the condition we are waiting for should
also be tested before the timeout. With the current order, you could
exit with a timeout error while the job is actually done.

Jean Delvare 5b42d3f33b Only export the ceil function from POSIX. By default, POSIX exports 
everything, and this happens to generate warnings when using perl 5.10.0.
That's a perl bug, but we can still work around it and avoid potential
future issues of the same kind.

Jean Delvare a8acdd0d88 The LM78 detection is relatively weak, and sometimes recent Winbond 
chips can be misdetected as an LM78. We have had repeated reports of
this happening. (Backport from Linux 2.6.)

Jean Delvare 3efa6bf239 Add support for lm89, max6681, max6658, max6659, max6646, max6647 and 
max6649 prefixes. The lm90 driver doesn't instantiate such devices on
auto-detection as they are undistinguishable from other supported types,
but such devices can still be instantiated explicitly since kernel
2.6.27, and supporting them is cheap.
