Jean Delvare 47bd9a6501 Various cleanups to the i2c-i801 driver: 
* Fix self file name reference.
* i801_setup can be marked __devinit.
* Drop useless error local variable and label in i801_setup.
* Use symbolic names for SMBHSTCFG bits.
* Transmit the error code returned by i801_setup instead of forcing it
  to an arbitrary value.

Jean Delvare 21a1be7e49 i2c-i801: Remove PCI function check 
Remove the PCI function number check when probing devices.
This check is redundant, each function has a separate PCI device
ID, so checking for that ID is sufficient.

Jean Delvare d98d0c0185 i2c-i801: Fix block transaction poll loops 
Two of the three poll loops have the poll and sleep swapped,
causing an extra sleep to occur after the polled condition is
fulfilled. In practice, this doubles the amount of sleep time for
every block transaction.

Jean Delvare 4bab489796 Reset the PEC bit after every transaction. This partly reverts the 
previous change. This is needed by some BIOSes at reboot and resume time.

Jean Delvare 5467346e7b Backport SMBus PEC support rewrite from Linux 2.6: 
The new SMBus PEC implementation doesn't support PEC emulation on
non-PEC non-I2C SMBus masters, so we can drop all related code.

Jean Delvare c12c82c13d Backport SMBus PEC support rewrite from Linux 2.6: 
Discard I2C_FUNC_SMBUS_*_PEC defines. i2c clients are not supposed to
check for PEC support of i2c bus drivers on individual SMBus
transactions, and i2c bus drivers are not supposed to advertise them.

Jean Delvare 7f68d835a3 Backport from Linux 2.6: 
Clean up name string usage in 11 i2c bus drivers:
* Use the pci_driver name for requesting the I/O region rather than
  redefining a new string.
* Do not initialize the i2c_adapter name to "unset".
This should save a few data bytes here and there.

Copy sysctl enums to chip drivers from sensors.h for now,
   as seen in drivers included in 2.5 tree. File no longer included
   from kernel side.

   Apply i2c-proc change in CVS tagged -km2.

   Partial clean and sort of includes everywhere.

   Add i2c-dev.h, as a partial copy from i2c.
   Add to sensors.h from i2c-proc.h to compile things.
   Remove i2c-isa.h.

   Reflect header file changes to lib/ and prog/.

Kyosti Malkki 39391ba6ea (Kyösti) some cleanups for 2.4+ 
Module refcounting using .owner, removing of inc/dec_use.
   These require (yet unreleased) i2c 2.8.0+.

   Named initializers everywhere. Unified namespace.

   Cleanup for 2.5, remove EXPORT_NO_SYMBOLS, declare everything
   static. Apply initcalls.

   PCI device registration changes for busses started, replicating
   from i2c-amd*. While everything does compile, nothing really
   works. Well, maybe i2c-amd* ported back from 2.5 tree.

   After updating your work directory, run
    > cvs diff -u -r LAST-PRE-2-8-I2C > lm-2.8-patches-1

   BEWARE: I have not even insmoded any of these yet.

   To compile, you need i2c from cvs too.
   For 2.4 kernel :
    > cvs co -r lk2-4 i2c

   For 2.5 kernel :
    > cvs co i2c
