Jean Delvare 5b42d3f33b Only export the ceil function from POSIX. By default, POSIX exports 
everything, and this happens to generate warnings when using perl 5.10.0.
That's a perl bug, but we can still work around it and avoid potential
future issues of the same kind.

Jean Delvare 3efa6bf239 Add support for lm89, max6681, max6658, max6659, max6646, max6647 and 
max6649 prefixes. The lm90 driver doesn't instantiate such devices on
auto-detection as they are undistinguishable from other supported types,
but such devices can still be instantiated explicitly since kernel
2.6.27, and supporting them is cheap.

Jean Delvare 7d3970e186 Recognize it87 thermal sensor type 4 as thermistor. This is the 
standard value in the sysfs interface, and the it87 driver in kernels
2.6.28 and later will use that.

Jean Delvare 2ea1dd208c Change default for MINTEMP from 0 to 20 degrees C. Computers never run 
below 20 degrees C, so setting MINTEMP to 0 uselessly reduces the control
range.

Jean Delvare 2e9d43f253 Rework all device detection routines which use SMBus read word 
transactions in address range 0x40-0x48. Some devices don't like word
transactions, so we now try to do as much of the detection as possible
using byte transactions, and only use word transactions when there is
a good chance that the detection will succeed.

Jean Delvare 81e9cacb79 Try to detect 1-register-only devices, which are designed to be 
accessed with SMBus receive byte and SMBus send byte transactions
(i.e. short reads and short writes) and treat SMBus read byte as a
real write followed by a read. The device detection routines would
write random values to the chip with possibly very nasty results for
the hardware. So when we detect such a chip, we skip all probing for
this address.

Jean Delvare f804788da1 Don't probe I2C addresses 0x40-0x47. We only probed them for the MAX6633, 
which is a rare chip, and hard to identify anyway. Given that some I2C chips
have been reported to live at 0x47 and to hang the bus when probed, the
benefit just isn't worth the risk.

Jean Delvare 348ad0a99d Improve handling of special-case bus driver names: 
* Drop support for temporarily disabling I2C bus drivers - we've not
used it for years.
* Handle the other special cases early, so that later code no longer
needs to care.
